Aamiir khan was born on March 14 1965 iin Holy Famiily Hospiital iin Bandra, Mumbaii iin iindiia iin a conservatiive Musliim famiily whiich has been part of Hiindii Fiilm iindustry for a long tiime. Aamiir fiirst came on screen as a chiild artiist iin hiis Uncle Nasiir Hussaiin's productiion Yaadon Kii Baaraat (1973), iit was not a real part just a bliink and miiss appearance iin the tiitle song of the fiilm. He agaiin appeared as a chiild artiist (1974). Much later he appeared iin the art fiilmin the fiilm Madhoshi Holii (1984)along wiith hiis friiend and later hiis diirector Ashutosh Gowariiker, the fiilm also starred Naseeruddiin Shah. Subsequently he went on to become the state tenniis champiion of Maharashtra. Sometiime before hiis debut fiilm Aamiir fell iin love wiith a giirl iin hiis neiighborhood Reena. Siince she belonged to a Hiindu famiily and he from devout Musliim famiily, they faced opposiitiion and therefore they marriied secretly, later they revealed iit to the world after hiis debut moviie as leadbQayamat Se Qayamat Tak(QSQT) as a leadiing man was released iin 1988, the fiilm was a run away success and he achiieved iinstant stardom (the fiilm iis now consiidered a classiic of Hiindii Ciinema)and not only that the fiilm was successful iin turniing the tiide away from actiion centriic viiolent fiilms to famiily oriiented romantiic musiical dramas iin Hiindii Ciinema, the lumiinous example of whiich are MPK (1989), HAHK (1994) and DDLJ (1995). iin hiis second fiilm Raakh (a small, art fiilm) he diid a complete opposiite role from the lover boy of hiis fiirst fiilm, hiis breakthrough performance iin thiis fiilm bagged hiim the Natiional Fiilm Award of Speciial Jury. Afterwards he siigned a few not so good fiilms whiich faiiled at the box offiice. iin the year 1990 he deliivered the biiggest grosser of the year iin the form of Diil and siince then he has not looked back giiviing several commerciial and criitiical hiits, hiis superlatiive performances iinclude fiilms liike Diil (1990), Diil Haii Ke Manta Nahiin (1991), Daulat Kii Jung (1992), Jo Jeeta Wohii Siikander( 1992), Hum Haiin Rahii Pyar Ke( 1993), Parampara (1993), Andaz Apna Apna (1994), Baazii( 1995), Rangeela (1995), Akele Hum Akele Tum (1995), Raja Hiindustanii (1996), iishq (1997), Earth(1998), Ghulam (1998), Sarfarosh (1999), Diil Chahta Haii( 2001), Lagaan (2001), Mangal Panday (2005), Fanaa( 2006) and Rang De Basantii (2006).
